Over the Apurimac River, in the Cusco region, at an altitude of 3,700 meters above sea level, an important Inca legacy can be appreciated that remains in use after more than six centuries.
It is the Q'eswachaka bridge, a spectacular engineering work of 30 meters long, made of straw and stone, which is preserved to this day and which in 2013 was designated as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
Programa
FULL DAY - BRIDGE QESWACHACA
- 5:30 Pickup of each passenger from their respective hotels, around the Historic Center of Cusco.
- 5:30 to 7:00 Transfer from Cusco to Cusi pata by bus.
- 07:00 to 7:45 am Breakfast
- 7:45 to 8:30 Combapata viewpoint.
- 20 minutes stop.
- 8:50 to 9:10 Guided tour in Pampamarca for 10 minutes.
- 9:20 to 9:40 Transfer to the Pabellones volcano.
- 30 minutes of exploration.
- 10:10 to 10:20 Transfer from the volcano to Yanaoca.
- (15 minutes free time in Yanaoca for bathrooms, shops, water, etc.)
- 10:35 to 11:00 Departure to the Qeswachaka bridge.
- 1 hour guided tour on the bridge.
- 12:00 to 13:00 Departure from the bridge to Tungasuca.
- 13:00 to 14:00 Visit to the 4 lakes.
- 14:00 to 15:00 Lunch.
- 15:00 to 17:00 Return to Cusco.
